The mission of Salty Jobs™ is to build a talented workforce of skilled marine trade workers through
Production and distribution of the award-winning video series that showcases high demand jobs.
Participating in and developing community outreach events like career fairs, student and faculty field trips, summer camp, student competitions and scholarship opportunities, public speaking, and school visitations and presentations.
Building and advancing educational programs, including marine magnet public school options for middle school and high school students, college dual enrollment classes for high school students, marine-related technology courses at vocational schools and state colleges, and the first-ever Florida Yacht Service Technician Apprenticeship Program that teaches a comprehensive set of basic shipyard skills through classroom presentations and on-the-job-training.
